As the summer days draw to a close, some of us are putting away our BBQs, summer clothes and garden furniture. Others, mainly Head Chefs and General Managers, are busy looking ahead at their December schedules and winter menus.

As the holiday season approaches, those in the hospitality industry are gearing up to welcome guests in the warm glow of Christmas. To create a truly enchanting atmosphere and enhance the dining experience, establishments often seek to update their menus, guest information folders, key fobs, and door signs as well as a number of other bespoke leather products.

We produced bespoke leather blotters for Firmdale Hotels in dark brown Safia Leather with a dark brown suede lining

Description of product

On a wooden base with 25mm hole, 40mm from top edge for easy access. Finished with two 70mm leather side panels, and two 20mm leather strips top and bottom.

Includes a removable insert W455mm x H255mm with four 70mm leather corners on one side and full soft leather on the reverse side.

FUN FACT

They originally used the tanning process to make the skin’s outer ‘grain’ side look great.

But guess what?

They figured out that even the skins with messed-up grain sides could be turned into something cool – suede! They just had to process the underside and wear it inside-out. That’s how suede leather got its start!

It’s so great to hear recognition for the Red Carnation team, a group of hotels that we have been supporting for over three decades!

It also makes our hearts smile to know that two important topics are being appreciated too: Sustainability and Employee Wellbeing. We believe all employees ought to be treated in the same way we wish to be treated, and care of our environment is also of utmost importance.

That’s another reason why we choose our suppliers very carefully, it has a knock-on effect: A happy employee in a pleasant environment can achieve wondrous things.

This one-off luxury desk blotter was commissioned by our client, for their private study. They gave us the specific paper size and we created this beautiful product to ensure it was measured to perfection.

With this at your reception desk we can guarantee your guests will recognise they are in a classy establishment and know they’ve made the right choice for a most excellent visit.
